Please select your letter of choice below to see the list of terms:

Application

is a declaration of information made by a person who is applying for policy, product or service. Applications can often be paper based or web based, i.e. where you apply for a product online.

An Application for an insurance policy provides information that is used by the insurer to evaluate the risk of the applicant. It is also used to declare the amount and type of cover that you are applying for.

You should be very careful to ensure that all information is disclosed accurately when applying for insurance as a policy may not pay out in the event of a claim if a non-disclosure is found.

Please note that all definitions are intended for general guidance only. For official and current definitions you should always double check your policy wording.
