Critical Illness Insurance with LV offers 44 full payments and 20 partial payments if you are diagnosed with certain medical conditions. Liverpool Victoria are a well established insurance provider and their Critical Illness cover provides a varied range of illnesses and severity based payments that can provide vital protection for both serious and less severe conditions.

As of April 2014 the Liverpool Victoria Critical Illness plan offers full payments of the policy sum assured if you are diagnosed with one of the following conditions:
- Alzheimer's disease
- Aorta graft surgery
- Aplastic anaemia
- Bacterial meningitis
- Benign brain tumour
- Benign spinal cord tumour
- Blindness
- Cancer
- Cardiac arrest
- Cardiomyopathy
- Coma
- Coronary artery bypass grafts
- Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease
- Deafness
- Dementia (including senile dementia)
- Encephalitis
- Heart attack
- Heart valve replacement or repair
- HIV infection
- Idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension
- Kidney failure
- Liver failure
- Loss of hands or feet
- Loss of independent existence
- Loss of speech
- Major organ transplant
- Motor neurone disease
- Multiple sclerosis
- Multiple system atrophy
- Neuromyelitis optica (Devics)
- Open Heart Surgery
- Paralysis of limbs
- Parkinson's disease
- Pneumonectomy
- Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
- Pulmonary Artery Surgery
- Severe lung disease/respiratory failure
- Stroke
- Surgical removal of an eyeball
- Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
- Terminal illness (if combined with Life Cover)
- Third degree burns
- Traumatic head injury
- Total permanent disability
Partial payments are available if you are diagnosed with one of the following 20 illnesses:
- Accident Hospitalisation cover
- Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) of the brain
- Carcinoma in-site of the breast (ductal or lobular)
- Carcinoma in-situ of the cervix
- Carcinoma in-situ of the testicle
- Carcinoma in-situ of the urinary bladder
- Cardiomyopathy
- Carotid artery stenosis
- Cerebral aneurysm
- Coronary artery angioplasty
- Diabetes type 1 (requiring injections)
- Ovarian tumour
- Partial loss of hearing
- Partial loss of sight
- Prostate Cancer
- Removal of one or more lobe(s) of the lung
- Severe Crohn's disease
- Severe ulcerative colitis
- Sight - central retinal occlusion
- Third degree burns
Liverpool Victoria Critical Illness Insurance includes protection for you children for a partial payment of the policy sum assured.
